Sky Banks, Sanah Mays, and Brynn Mitchell as Alvin and the Chipmunks

The 3rd annual Wingspan Costume Contest featured tough competition amongst 47 creative costumes. However, after much deliberation, The Wingspan awarded first place to Sanah Mays, Sky Banks, and Brynn Mitchell, who performed as Alvin, Simon, and Theodore respectively. Second place went to Dario Rojas, who dressed up as Funtime Freddy, which was a completely homemade costume. The third place went to Jason Griffin, whose costume was based on professional Philadelphia Phillies righthander Zack Wheeler.

Aside from reading, she always wanted to write something but never found her hook. Now she has. In her first year on the staff, Mykayla is upfront the next upcoming writer for Wingspan. She covers the next school events, games, and everything else in between these Norristown hallways. When Mykayla isn't reading or writing, she spends her spare time with her family or goes out for a run.
