Recently, the Eagles played Springfield in their second league game.  It was a tight game. Varsity Baseball had a 3-2 walk off win. Tom Detwiler hit first varsity Home Run to tie game in 6th, and then followed with a walk off single with bases loaded 2 outs to win the game bottom of the 7th. (he atoned for an error in 6th to give Springfield the lead run) Terell Dale came in and pitched out of a 6th inning 2nd and 3rd no out jam and pitched a 1,2,3  7th to get the win.  Nick Edling started and pitched well through 5. 2 runs, 1 earned, 6 K’s.

Friday 4/8 rescheduled from Thursday 4/7  location NAHS originally slated for Upper Merion.  Upper Merion entered the game 2-0 in league play coming off an extra inning win against PW on Tuesday.  The Eagles jumped on them early scoring 5 in the first 1 in the second and 6 more in the third and cruised to a 12-1 victory.  Freshman Dom Proietto won his first league start going 4 innings striking out 6 and giving up 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk.  He also chipped in at the plate with a 3-3 and a walk and 3 runs scored.  Tommy Detwiler continued to swing a hot bat going 3-4 with a double 2 Runs scored and 4 rbi’s.  Cole Messics pitched a scoreless 5th and Terell Dale threw a runner out at the plate to seal the victory.  The Eagles committed no errors and only had 2 walks during the game  They are now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Players are also being noticed for their accomplishments.  Terell Dale was named Suburban one sports player of the week and there is a feature article on their webite.  www.suburbanonesports.com
