Is your candy safe?

Lily Olvera, Staff Reporter

Do you ever check your candy before you eat it? Well I suggest you do, especially parents! Just a day after Halloween, a report was filed of children from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania finding needles in their chocolate bars. Police said needles were found inside five wrapped Twix bars handed to four different children from that area. They are still unaware if they were sold like this , or if someone put them inside purposely. Police have urged all parents from New Jersey and Pennsylvania to check all of their children’s Halloween candy in case more needles or something else is found. It’s so unbelievable that a night like this meant for children to have fun could be ruined so easily. Just imagine finding needles in your candy, what would you do?
