Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed both of these movies. The characters were dynamic, the supernatural elements were great, and the overall story was very interesting. Both movies managed to make the prom and period scene equally bloody which is essential, but something I personally like in horror movies. Honestly, the original film was a lot scarier and the acting was better, but I did love the actors in the remake far better. Chloe Grace Moretz and Ansel Elgort starring in the remake captivated me, not allowing me to stop and switch to the other version I prefer. If you are looking for a good horror film to watch during this season, I suggest checking these films out and reading the novel by the famous Stephen King.
