Once again Norristown Area High School has hosted another College & Career Fair for their juniors and seniors with 88 universities, jobs and trade schools. The annually College Career & Fair gives its students a personal interaction with the representatives. This is giving the students a chance to meet potential schools and careers. The gym was filled with tables and stimulating conversations were happening everywhere. The students here at Norristown Area High School seemed eager and anxious to meet with the colleges. The representatives were ready and willing to meet with students and they were ready to give information’s about their schools. Walking through the gym you could definitely see the connections building between the students and representatives.

Schools came from all over to join Norristown Area High School such as East Stroudsburg ,Millersville, West Chester ,Penn state ,Gwynedd Mercy university , St. Josephs  university, university of Maryland, Temple university ,Montgomery  community college and coming from California FIDM just to name a few . All of these schools have a broad variety and no two are the same. Each school has different requirements for their average GPA, SAT score, and other requirements to attend there school. Each school provides a great education regardless of what type of learner you are which means every student has a good chance of getting into at least one of these schools. Overall, each college provided enough information to each student.

Even though majority of table were future colleges and universities .The fair still provided its students with other options such as job. Two jobs that attended were Americana Eagle, which gave students job applications and chick-fil a which gave out coupons .There were also military options such as US army , US marines and national guard .when ask why should we want to join national guard the representatives said “ This program builds character, strength, and can provide education.” There were also other alternative programs such as ITT Tech, Pulse Beauty Academy, and Star Career Academy which is a program that gives students multiple options for a career with hands on experience. These options gave each students an insightful look at their programs. Since every student will not go to college, it’s a great idea to host these programs so our students will have another option.
