With Thanksgiving around the corner, do you need some ideas on a new dessert to feature at your Thanksgiving dinner? Lucky for you, I have compiled the ultimate list to save your butt. A few of the treats listed below are traditional desserts, and some are new to test for the adventurous baker.

1. Pumpkin Pie

Known as the all-time classic dessert for the fall, pumpkin pie takes the number one spot on the list. This recipe is an award-winning creamy pumpkin pie with a secret ingredient to make it extra special. It has a crisp and flaky pie crust filled with a pumpkin-based custard filling, all topped with freshly whipped cream. This pumpkin pie is sure to be the highlight of your feast and the highlight in your tummy!

2. Apple Pie

Around this time of year, the smell of cinnamon is enough to put anyone in the fall mood. The second-best Thanksgiving dessert would be the classic apple pie, which contains the perfect amount of cinnamon. This apple pie is similar to the pumpkin pie, but instead of a pumpkin-based custard filling, the apple pie has a cider-flavored apple filling with a cripsy and flaky crust.

3. Pumpkin Roll

The pumpkin roll is a season-favorite due to it being made with pumpkin, which symbolizes the fall season. The outside of the pumpkin roll has a moist taste that melts in your mouth with a creamy filling. Some people may even add a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top.

4. Pecan Pie

An old-fashioned dessert with a sweet and crunchy filling of sugar, syrup, and pecans, pecan pie is sure to be a loved dessert at your Thanksgiving table. The filling is mixed with nuts, brown sugar, and molasses, which gives you the sweet and crunchy taste. The crust is also crisp and flakey, adding even more texture to the flavorful bite.

5. Double Chocolate & Caramel Trifle

The Double Chocolate & Caramel Trifle is a perfect mixture of brownie, whipped cream, caramel and chocolate drizzle, and chopped pecans. This recipe is quite different from the others, as it’s not a classic or even a traditionally known dessert. In a glass cup filled with brownie, vanilla, hot fudge, and caramel drizzle, it is usually topped with whipped heavy cream, hot fudge, caramel drizzle, and sprinkled with pecans. This festive treat is sure to cause a toothache, so eat with caution!

6. Cannoli

Cannoli is an Italian pastry that is of a tube-shaped shell of fried pastry dough. The treat is typically filled with a sweet and creamy filling, usually containing ricotta cheese, and the shell is dipped in chocolate. Chocolate chips can be added to each end of the shell where the cream is sticking out. It’s usually sprinkled with powdered sugar for a final touch. These crunchy and delicious cannolis are sure to be a treat to serve!

7. Rocky Road Pie

This recipe turns one of the most beloved ice cream flavors, Rocky Road,  into a pie. It consists of a graham cracker crust with chocolate, peanuts, and marshmallows fillings. You can then top it off with marshmallows, hot fudge, and chopped almonds, according to your liking. If topped with actual Rocky Road ice cream, the intense flavor will leave your mouth wanting more.

8. Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip

Pumpkin cheesecake dip is a fall classic creamy mixture of pumpkin and cream cheese, giving it the perfect taste. There are many different ways to enjoy this dessert; you can dip Nilla wafers, Graham Crackers, Gingersnap Cookies and etc. This Pumpkin cheesecake dip is a very creamy mixture and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, each delicious.

9. Carrot Cake with Toasted Pecans

Although this is a very time-consuming dessert to make, it would be a perfect idea for a Thanksgiving dessert. Composed of several layers, Carrot Cake is tender and fluffy, giving you a sweet taste as well as a little surprising spice to it. It is covered in cream cheese frosting, topped with candied carrot curls and toasted pecans.

10 .  Apple Cider Cupcakes

Around this time of year, apple cider cupcakes rise in popularity. Apple Cider is a popular drink, and turning it into a cupcake is just its natural evolution. It contains a fluffy base, and the cake part is topped with brown sugar cinnamon buttercream frosting which, makes a perfect mouthwatering fall dessert!
