Another fatal fire!

On Saturday, May 7, 2016 an apartment fire on the 800 block of DeKalb Street, Norristown started in the morning. Two adults and a child died that morning. The fire started a little before 4:00 am. It is said by the neighbors that heavy smoke was coming out from the 2nd and 3rd floor. The fire was calmed down about 15 minutes later but by then the whole 1st floor was damaged. The fire department brought out two adults and two kids. The adults were announced dead at the scene. One child died at the hospital and the other was in critical condition at the Children’s hospital in Philly. Six others were injured and being treated at the hospital. The fire is being investigated by the Norristown Fire Department, Norristown police, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. This fire was the second fatal blaze in Norristown this year.
