Two Teams Chasing Two Records!
April 11, 2016
There are two NBA teams at the moment chasing a perfect record for a perfect home season (games played at their home court). Those teams are the Warriors, who are 36-0 at home. The other is the Spurs, who are 37-0 at home and both have the opportunity to finish the regular season with a perfect home stand. This would be the first time any teams finished the season at home with zero losses.
The Warriors and Spurs will face off 2 more times this regular season, one of which will be on the Warriors court. The Warriors are going to have a challenge maintaining the perfect home record near the end of the season due to the Spurs and the Thunder. Meanwhile, the Spurs has a seemingly easy home season to finish out.
In addition, The Warriors are also chasing the 1996-1997 Chicago Bulls record. They are 66-7 at the moment and the Chicago Bulls record is 72-10. They are on pace to tie the record at least, if not beat it. Beating the record will mean they have to beat the Thunder and Spurs at least twice to achieve their goal. Warriors and Spurs are the 1st and 2nd seed in the western conference. So far this season many records have been broken, but that won’t be the end of it as there is still the post-season to come!
