Norristown Wrestling League Champs

Norristown’s wrestling team won the Suburban One League title! On Wednesday Feb. 3 Upper Dublin hosted the final league match against Norristown High School. Norristown wrestling was great, winning the match with a final score of 61-15. As a result of this win, Norristown Eagles clinched the league title. Norristown got off to a quick start against Upper Dublin with getting falls from the first five matches. Wrestler Ricky Bregenzer, who wrestled at 128 lbs. Ricky is coming into this match with a record of 13-7. Upper Dublin’s 128 lb. wrestler has a record of 22-2. Clearly, Ricky is an underdog in this match. Ricky ended up pinning him in the third period with 15 seconds remaining in the match. Also, Norristown’s 108 lb. wrestler, Justin Altrogge got a fall in the first period as well as Norristown’s 115 lb. wrestler, Grant Rubin picked up a fall in the first period. Great job Norristown Eagles Wrestling, keep up the good work!
