This movie was absolutely amazing! It was so close to the book that reader’s mouths from around the globe dropped by how faithful it was to Suzanne Collin’s plot. The acting was phenomenal; Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence both deserve an Oscar for their performances in this film. They portrayed their character’s emotions and struggles so well it was completely satisfying. The special effects for the mutts and the oil was so well done and despite knowing they were coming, I still jumped in my seat when the mutts appeared on the screen. They were so creepy looking and were so close to how they were described in the book that it was as if the directors had the exact image in their head readers did. The deaths that happened in the movie were heartbreaking, but were still done so beautifully by the actors who died that they made you depressed when their time on screen was over. However it also leaves you impressed by how great of an actor they were. Another great thing about this movie was the makeup and hairstyles. Katniss’s braid was back and done so nicely as well as Prim’s hair. I wanted an immediate tutorial after the movie was over. The makeup like the tattoos and Tigress’s makeup were so well done that it might make having whiskers look like the next big thing in fashion. Mockingjay Part 2 blew my mind and made me so emotional by the end. When I realized it was over and there wasn’t going to be another installment coming out next year, I just wanted to watch the films all over again to get over it. I guess now I’ll just have to reread the books and movies again instead and let the story live on!
