Ray Goren is a 15 year old singer. He began playing the keyboard at age 3 and guitar at 8. It was then that Goren started to perform his own music. Ray has worked with Grammy Award-winning artist Steve Jordan to produce his latest EP. This EP entitled, Songs For You, has five songs: Those Days, Light My Fire, Down & Out, Song For Me, and It’s On You.

Ray’s songs are a mix of gospel, funk, pop, 60’s soul, and r&b. His songs are oldies style with a modern twist on it. Down & Out and It’s On You are his more sentimental songs which do not sound as emotional as one would think it would. Goren’s song, Song For Me makes him seem very arrogant with lyrics like, “ Got my sexy on, and a little cash, I don’t care what they say, imma do my own way”. Those Days and Light My Fire – his more upbeat songs – lack the ability to keep the listeners attention.
