On October 23, 2015 Adele made her grand return to the world of music by releasing her new single “Hello” from her upcoming album 25. The new single is currently at number one on musical charts and broke the Vevo record for the most number of views in a day with 27.7 million views, surpassing Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video which gained 20.1 million views. As to why she has been silent in the music world for the past three years she said, “I have to take time and live a little bit. There were a good two years between my first and second albums, so it’ll be the same this time.” Adele also stated that she wanted to take a break to have a chance to experience love and write more songs about it. As opposed to her songs from years past that are full of heartbreak, this new album share more about her relationships that flourished. She says “My last record was a break up record, and if I had to label this one, I would call it a make-up record. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. 25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing. And I’m sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened.” 25 will be released on November 20, 2015 and if the other tracks are anything like “Hello” the album will be a hit.
