Rapper, Fetty Wap, got in a head-on collision on the afternoon of Saturday, September 26. The accident occurred in his hometown of Patterson, New Jersey, just one day after Fetty released his self-debuted album which features the hits, “Trap Queen”, “My Way”, and “679”. According to TMZ, Fetty reportedly tried to pass one vehicle and didn’t see another coming from the opposite direction, resulting in a collision, says an eyewitness. Fetty was treated at a local hospital and was in stable condition, according to his manager on Saturday.

On the Thursday prior to the crash, the rapper ironically posted a video of himself riding a motorcycle before his concert in Clifton, New Jersey. Since then, social media has been swarming with “memes”, making fun of Fetty’s eye since he’s had congenital glaucoma since he was six months old, and the doctor was only able to save one eye. Despite the outbursts on social media though, it boosted Fetty’s fame. Despite the setback of this accident, Fetty Wap is still set to perform at the local “Powerhouse” event in Philadelphia on Friday, October 23.
