(In order from most gory to least)

  1. Saw (2004) – A sick game that traps people against their will and makes them complete unimaginable tasks to regain freedom, but isn’t as sick as the man behind the madness; Jigsaw picks these people for a reason.                                                           saw
  2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) – A remake of the 1974 thriller where a group of friends go on a road trip and come in contact with a twisted family and their murderous chain-saw dwelling son.                                                                                                                               leeeeATHER
  3. Halloween (2007) – Yet another remake, this time with a different plot and a ton more blood. Young Michael Myers always showed signs of being a murderer and does just that one Halloween night. What so different about his murders? He wants all of his family dead.
  4. The Strangers (2008) – After proposing to his girlfriend and being turned down, the couple (James & Kristen) spend a weekend at his family’s cabin, only to be terrorized.            Stranger
  5. A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) – 1, 2, Freddy’s coming for you, only in this remake, Freddy is terrifying and we get a glimpse of how it began. The progression in make-up and technology make Freddy look just like a true nightmare.
  6. Sinister (2007) – When a once infamous true-crime author moves his family into a new home that is a known murder site, he realizes he bit off more than he could chew. Bagul, the eater of children’s souls puts the family right in his trap.          Bagul
  7. The Grudge (2004) – A “too good to be true” job opportunity is given to an American nurse in Japan, she finds out exactly why the job was so easy to get.
  8. Stephen King’s “It” (1990) – Pennywise the clown has his sights set on children in a small town in Maine, and there is no way to stop the evil spirit.                                        penny
  9. The Exorcist (1973) – Arguably the greatest horror movie in history. An innocent teenage girl is slowly having her soul taken over by a demonic being and there seems to be no happy resolution for her.
  10. Insidious 1, 2, and 3 (2010, 2013, 2015) – A trio of movies that all connect, and make previous trios about a demonic presence seem trivial. No family is safe and the demons can be stopped, if you dare fight against them.
