Cross country ran its first home meet for the year on September 16 against Springfield. Despite, what felt like, scorching hot weather, Norristown’s runners kept pushing themselves until the very end. Representing Norristown, Maddie Lopez and John Maxey finished first for the female and male teams. Additionally, each runner finished with a result better than their last! Although Springfield fought hard, the meet ended successfully with Norristown’s win. This may be the last time Norristown will encounter Springfield since the district is switching leagues. However, they may contend again in district competitions.

The next home meet for the team will be on September 30 at 3:30PM against Cheltenham and Plymouth-Whitemarsh.
