On March 11, 2015, Norristown Area High School students and staff held a Winterfest for our upcoming ninth graders. On this night, eighth graders got the opportunity to get a tour of our school and sign up for any club or sport they would like to do when they start at the high. The kids had a lot of options to choose from such as DECA, JROTC, Paranormal Club, Cheerleading, Band, School Publications, Communication Center, Student Council, Field Hockey, Track, Football and boys’ and girls’ Basketball, Lacrosse, Tennis, Soccer and Golf. Most of the eighth graders felt that basketball, football, and track were the most popular sports. They also thought that the DECA, Paranormal Club, and Cheerleading stands stood out the most. Parents at the Winterfest want their children to be involved when they come to the high school. Many kids signed up for more than one thing. At the end of the night, the Winterfest was an overall success!
