Ben Rosario

Born in Sellersville, PA, Ben Rosario was raised in Norristown throughout his childhood. During his high school journey, Rosario was in multiple acts of the production of Mr.Norristown for the past two years. He was friends with former contestants who inspired him to rise to the top and try out to be this year’s new Mr. Norristown.

Rosario described his four years at NAHS as memorable, with his involvement in clubs like the drumline,  marching band, BSU, and the 21st-century club, which made school something to look forward to. His love for drumming was established in Bethel Deliverance Church.

He looks up to his family, who are also musically talented and helped him build his musical skills. During his freshman year at NAHS, alumnus Thaddaeus  C. Peay ll was a mentor and friend who had a common interest in drumming and was someone who helped ignite the excitement of the school drumline.“Thaddaeus might have brought back the drumline but I took it to another level, “ Rosario said.

His dedication to this town is found in his work during and after school. As someone so involved in the music department, he was guaranteed many opportunities that built him as a person, but he attributes it all to Norristown.

“I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, my family and friends are here at a place I call home, Norristown,”  said Rosario.

Rosario said that winning Mr. Norristion would be amazing, but even if he doesn’t win, this experience is something he would be proud of.
