Luke Vitale
Luke Vitale’s love for sound, involvement in music programs, and humility make him a true embodiment of what it means to be a part of the NAHS music department.
An avid melophile, this senior draws much of his inspiration from Brooklyn rapper, Biggie Smalls, whose songs, Luke believes, demonstrate how music can elevate others’ moods. Luke’s own motivation for his music is to affect others similarly. When Luke talks about the Notorious B.I.G, his otherwise shy demeanor melts into one of unrestrained passion.
A multi-instrumentalist with plans of attending Kutztown for Music Production, Luke details his experience at Norristown to be one full of enthusiasm and exploration. He is a singer who spends his school days playing the baritone saxophone for the Jazz Band and practicing the piano.
He is currently enrolled in 3 AP courses. “Use your time wisely,” he advises others as if recalling a traumatic event. “Don’t take super hard senior classes.”
What would winning Mr. Norristown mean to senior Luke Vitale? He believes it would be recognition not only for him as a person, but for his music and musical abilities. Next Thursday’s audience should expect a performance that showcases these talents, but to what extent, we will learn that evening.
