Michael Kinsey

A charismatic contestant, Michael Kinsey is ready to be your 2019 Mr. Norristown. Born and raised in Norristown, he is heavily-involved at NAHS. He believes his past four years of high school have been incredible due to all of the diversity and passion in the school. He is involved in what others might consider an extreme amount of school activities, including Blue and White Society, Best Buddies, National Honor Society, Class of 2019, NASDtv, International Club, SPICE Club, and soccer. He also makes sure to attend every Norristown basketball game, home or away.  

Aside from his school pride, Kinsey considers his greatest qualities to be his humor and sociability. “I’m outgoing and know a lot of people,” he said. “I can be friends with everybody.”

Kinsey said that winning Mr. Norristown would make his senior year complete. “It would mean everything to me because you put a lot of work into it. To have that title at Norristown is intense.”

After graduation, Kinsey plans to go to Penn State to study Architectural Engineering. He wants the underclassmen to know this: “Stay focused. Get involved. Don’t look back. Everything happens for a reason. Use all of your downfalls as motivation.”
