On June 9, 2016 the students of the NAHS Art Department unveiled a Pop Art Chalk Mural display along the walks of the high school in preparation for the 2016 Graduation Ceremony.   Under the direction of Mrs. Ogiony, Dr. Kirker, Mrs. Noce, and Mrs. Guido, select students in various art classes hunched and squatted on the pavement to prepare the front walk and part of the forum to welcome graduates and guests of the Class of 2016.

Vice Principal Stein granted permission for this project in hopes of making it a permanent tradition for years to come at NAHS.  The students were thrilled to have a day in the sun and be able to leave a gift of sorts for those entering and exiting graduation the following day.  Some took on a single square of pavement while others took on several.  Some students worked together and others chose to work individually. Still all left their mark and many of the murals have lasted through the end of the school year so there is still time to enjoy these original pieces.

You must hurry though, because they are temporary based on when the next strong rain comes to wash them away!
