Boys’ Tennis: The Current Record Will Not Flavor the Season

Boys Tennis: The Current Record Will Not Flavor the Season

The Norristown Area High School Boy’s tennis team, led by Franko Waweru, has been competitive in all matches thus far. Even though the Eagles only have a record of 2 and 7 there have been a lot of close matches decided by only a point or two. Junior captain and number one singles player, Franko Waweru, has won 5 of 6 matches this year. His only defeat came in a three set battle in which he lost to Cheltenham Senior, Josh Victor. In his first year of singles play senior, Joy Patel, has pushed his opponents to the limit even though he has only won one match. The doubles teams of Matt Piccari and Chris Rivera as well as Dylan Ashcraft and Mike Berkowitz have also notched a victory each this season. As the weather gets warmer and the team gets more match experience the eagles are looking to soar to a few more wins.
